How’s everything on your end? This has had to come in a hurry and it has left me in a devastating state. I travelled to Wales for a volunteer Training Program (VTP), and unfortunately for me all my money was stolen at the hotel where I lodged by robbers. The Embassy only cleared me of my travelling documents and ticketing since I came in on unofficial purposes. I didn’t bring my phones here and the hotel telephone lines were disconnected during the robbery incident,so I have access to only emails.

Please can you lend me £960 ($1,450 USD for me to relocate to another hotel and also get another flight ticket. As soon as I get home I would refund it immediately.

Dear Brethren, Greetings in the precious name of Christ Jesus.

I praise God almighty for the ardent support and prayer towards the various Programmes of the education Board from the members and office bears of the Church. Schools were started at Athibale, Amla, Mandideep and Dondi inorderto support the evangelization work of our Church. For the development and introduction of essential facilities in these schools much prayer and support are necessary. As per the decision of our Sabha Council we are observing 2010 June 20’th Sunday as Education Sunday. I request you all to pray and contribute to all the Programmes of Education Board on that day.

Prayer Requests:

1. Kindly uphold in your prayers all the students, staff, and various officials of all our schools and all our needs.
2. Needed finance for the establishment and further development of all the institutions.
3. For the new teachers with missionary vision to work among the students and their families. Also for the financial support to these Missionary Teachers.
4. Daniel Project Scholarships: Proposed to support needed students who were committed, sothat in future they may serve Lord and Church as voluntary missionaries along with their jobs.
5. To conduct Career Guidance and Missionary equip motivation seminars for the youngsters to help them in their career and education.
6. Tyrannus Hall, Chennai, and its activities.
7. All the Board members, School committees and officials, particularly Mr. Jacob Thomas, Program co-ordinater.

This year we hope to collect Rs.2, 50,000.00 through this offertory. I request your earnest prayer and support for this. Kindly send the amount collected as early as possible to Treasure, Education Board STECI, Manjady, Thiruvalla. Thanking each and everyone for all the cooperation and prayerful support to Education Board and all its activities.

Thampy Varghese is at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He had  surgery done yesterday and is still in ICU. He is in isolation room. Please continue to pray for him.

I take this opportunity to thank all of you for your prayers and support given to the youth board in the previous years.

This year youth board is conducting the Triennial camp during Onam holidays from Thursday 26th August to Sunday 29th August.

We expect at least 400 youths to participate from all our parishes in Kerala and the estimated expense will be around Rs 2 lakhs. Rs 50 is collected towards registration fees, for deserving candidates it will not be an hindrance in attending the camp. The amount collected from our parishes will not be sufficient, so I request your liberal contribution towards this need. I hope and pray that you will do your best for which the Almighty will reward you.

It has been said that more spiritual growth takes place during a camp than the whole rest of the year put together. God has a way of getting a hold of lives at camp like no place else on earth. There are a wide variety of factors that contribute to that including: removal of distractions, being surrounded by God’s creation, focused times of worship, daily Bible teaching, living in community, and many others. Majority of people who come to Christ (or people who make a decision for full-time Christian service, etc.) made their decision at camps. Pray that this camp may be a decision making camp.

The contribution be sent to Treasurer, Board for Youth Work towards 2010 camp fund.
